We are growing our talented team of freelance EventAve planners! If you are an organized, entrepreneurially minded, client-oriented professional with experience in planning events and looking for contract opportunities, please read below to find out more. Please note that at this time, we are specifically looking for planners who are based in or have experience working in the following geographies: Greater New York City Area (NY, CT, NJ); Pittsburgh, PA; Miami, FL.
As a contracted planner on EventAve, you will:
Work directly with EventAve clients to develop a vision for the client’s event, create a budget, generate personalized venue and vendor recommendations, build a checklist, day-of timeline, and floorplan and finalize all event-related transactions.
Be an organized and effective communicator, managing the relationship with the client and serving as the point of contact with venues and vendors. Extract key pieces of information from proposals to help the client confidently reach decisions throughout the event planning process.
Negotiate with vendors and review all contracts to secure the best rates, terms and concessions on behalf of the client.
Keep abreast of new event space openings and new vendors in your region to continually add to your industry knowledge.
Follow trends related to event and party planning on Instagram, Pinterest and beyond, and bring your creative ideas to EventAve clients!
EventAve planner qualifications:
Professional experience in event planning (any combination of social, corporate, non-profit), event design, event coordination, etc.
Client-service orientation, enjoys working with people and delighting customers.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Knowledgeable and resourceful in identifying high-quality venues and vendors in your region, suitable across a range of client budgets.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Strong computer skills and comfortable using web-based applications; access to a computer and reliable internet connection.
Experience developing event floorplans using Photoshop, Adobe, etc. is a plus.
